Silva Excels, San Angelo Blows Out Boise
The San Angelo Mustangs met little resistance from the Boise Bloodhounds, beating them 14-3 at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. Manny Silva led the way. He was 4 for 5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 5 for San Angelo. Murdoch Beach was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save. The Mustangs sit in second place in the Buck O'Neil League San Diego Chicken Division with a record of 78-60.

In the bottom of the first, Ichiyo Murakami hit a 2-run double for San Angelo. The 20th double of the season for the San Angelo catcher put the Mustangs on top, 2-0.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said San Angelo manager Dave Callahan.
