In a tight game between the Baltimore Blue Claws and the Barrow Frosties, pitcher Jérémy Thomas was terrific on the mound. The Baltimore right-hander was named the player of the game in Baltimore's 3-1 win. The Blue Claws have an impressive 83-51 record.

A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the eighth inning when the Blue Claws sent teenager Shunsho Meshizuka to the plate against Frosties hurler Ken Morita. With the bases loaded and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a single off a 1-1 knuckle curve to score 2.

"Jérémy was throwing free and easy," said Baltimore manager David Parker.
