Mustangs Topple Jedi Knights with Late Rally
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

The San Angelo Mustangs used an offensive barrage to beat the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 10-2, at The Republic. Ichiyo Murakami led the way, going 1-for-1 for San Angelo. San Angelo reliever Murdoch Beach picked up the win to move to 9-5. Yoichibei Aoki suffered the loss.

In a game filled with surprises, perhaps none was as big as Murakami's contribution. The San Angelo pinch hitter is a relative newcomer. With one out in the top of the eighth, when the Mustangs had the bases loaded, Murakami delivered a crucial grand slam home run.

New Orleans manager Mathew Thomas called the blowout loss "a real stinker."

The Mustangs now have a mark of 75-58.
