|
Boise pitcher Ken Banks did his part in helping his team beat the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Banks went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 7-1. Robinson Merrado closed the game out for Boise, earning his 16th save.
Xiao-peng Chuang contributed to the Boise win. The 21-year old catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the third. For the game, Chuang went 1-4 with a double and a walk.
"I really like what we did out there today," Banks said after the game.
The Bloodhounds sit in 6th place in the Buck O'Neil League San Diego Chicken Division with a record of 60-69.
