Baltimore Wins, Meshizuka goes 3-for-4
Shunsho Meshizuka was the difference-maker for the Baltimore Blue Claws in what turned into a shootout with the Eugene Emeralds. Meshizuka earned the player of the game award after going 3-for-4 in the 13-9 Blue Claws win. Todd Couch got the save, his 7th in 10 chances. After today's action, Baltimore sits at 79-50, while Eugene falls to 78-51.

With Baltimore leading 9-7 in the bottom of the fourth, Meshizuka hit a cutter from Craig Wyman for a 2-run single. It was his 57th hit of the season and put the Blue Claws ahead, 11-7.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Baltimore Blue Claws manager David Parker. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
