Mustangs Get Road Win, 6-2
|
San Angelo Mustangs starter Marcos Colón was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Coney Island Cyclones, 6-2. The winning pitcher was Colón, now 8-5. He tossed 5.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 2. The Mustangs go to 71-56, putting them second in the Buck O'Neil League San Diego Chicken Division.
Kent Landry delivered for San Angelo in the top of the third. His 2-run home run off Coney Island pitcher Mark Stewart put San Angelo in front, 2-0.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said San Angelo manager Dave Callahan.
