Winfield Warriors starter Pang Ji pitched a strong game against the Chippewa River Chiefs at The Barn, leading the Warriors to a 6-4 win. The save was credited to Keith Smith, his 2nd. The Warriors now have a mark of 66-62.

Also pitching for Winfield was pinch hitter Jim Bungay, who hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, Bungay went 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
