Dominant Performance by Roberts in Boise Win
|
The Boise Bloodhounds got a stellar performance from pitcher Roosevelt Roberts, who handcuffed the Barrow offense en route to a 5-2 win at Grand Canyon Valley Park. Robinson Merrado earned his 14th save in 19 tries. The Bloodhounds now have a record of 58-67.
It was an impressive outing from the soft-spoken Roberts, who tallied 11 strikeouts in 7 innings and allowed only 3 hits. Roberts raised his record to 4-5 on the year with 118 strikeouts.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Roberts told the Boise News.
