Gómez goes 4-for-6 as Frosties Drub Bloodhounds
|
The Barrow Frosties used an offensive barrage to beat the Boise Bloodhounds, 15-2, at Grand Canyon Valley Park. Nick Gómez led the way, going 4-for-6 for Barrow. Barrow is now 71-53.
Barrow grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Gómez, who is tied for 4th in the BOL with a .491 slugging percentage, hit a 3-run home run. His 16th home run of the season put the Frosties out in front, 5-2.
"We took it on the chin today," said losing manager Royce Dale.
