Coney Island left-hander Kun Jing pitched his team to victory over the Charleston Panthers at Franklin Mountains Field. The final score was 3-2. At 53-71, the Cyclones find themselves in 5th place in the Buck O'Neil League Mariner Moose Division.
Gilberto Madraso was one of the major contributors to the win for Coney Island. The light-hitting left fielder stroked a single to left in the top of the sixth inning. For the day, he went 1 for 3.
"We're a pretty talented bunch when we're playing well," said Jing. "I think we showed that here."
