Endo Propels Chippewa to 2-1 Win
|
In a tight game between the Chippewa River Chiefs and the Baltimore Blue Claws, pitcher Kichibei Endo was terrific on the mound. The Chippewa left-hander was named the player of the game in Chippewa's 2-1 win. George Fortin Jr. locked down his 33rd save. The River Chiefs, now 78-46, have won 5 in a row.
Endo, the winner, is now 7-7. In 7.1 innings of work, he gave up no earned runs on 4 hits, while collecting 7 Ks. He essentially shut down the Baltimore offense.
