Kingwood Knights starter Sawao Daikawa kept the St. Paul Saints hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 9-2 win. Peng Zhi picked up the save, his 1st. Kingwood now sits in last place in the Buck O'Neil League Mariner Moose Division at 47-75.
John Linttell's at-bat in the bottom of the first inning was a big one for Kingwood. Coming to bat with no one out, the bases loaded and Kingwood trailing 1-0, the first baseman drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Linttell.
