Frosties Deal Jedi Knights Painful Loss
|
The Frosties had to overcome a fine performance from New Orleans pitcher Felipe Pérez to grab a 3-2 win at The Blizzard Bowl. Pérez allowed 2 earned runs over 6.1 innings. Barrow reliever Cecilio Friuli got the win, raising his record to 4-1. Yoshikazu Ichihara was tagged with the loss. New Orleans has now lost 4 in a row.
Jim Unknown was the walk-off hero for Barrow. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Barrow first baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Mathew Thomas.
