Frosties Spoil Great Performance by Braun
|
It was a good time at The Blizzard Bowl, where fans came to watch the New Orleans Jedi Knights and Barrow Frosties get after it.
The New Orleans Jedi Knights got a sterling performance from right fielder Luca Braun, but the Frosties still prevailed, 7-5. Braun was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The save went to Tokuhei Yano, his 20th this season.
A defensive miscue in the bottom of the sixth cost the Jedi Knights. With Barrow trailing 5-4, Lúcio Sánchez reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run. Barrow ended up winning the ballgame.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Sánchez, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
Barrow's record now stands at 68-53, placing them third in the Buck O'Neil League Mariner Moose Division.
