The New York Ninjas and Boise Hawks completed their game despite the inclement weather.

The Ninjas faced a stiff challenge from Boise pitcher Eddie MacClung, but persevered to claim a win at Basque Block Field. The final score was 4-3. MacClung went 7 innings and allowed no earned runs. Ashley Cutting picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Pedro Salas was tagged with the loss.

Runs were at a premium. So, Edgardo Bustamante's at-bat with no one out in the top of the 14th was crucial. The New York center fielder drew a walk, driving in 1 run, to give his team a 3-2 lead.

"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Boise manager Bill Martin.

New York is now 74-62.
