Cornhuskers Bump Off Bulldogs, 7-2

The Kennel was the site for Ford Frick League action featuring the Spokane Bulldogs and DeKalb Cornhuskers.
Zheng-ze Joe made an impact in the 7-2 DeKalb win over Spokane. Joe, who was drafted in the two round of the 2026 draft, went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. Akihiro Hamada picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-0. He struck out 7 in 5 innings.
DeKalb right fielder Sean Clark helped the Cornhuskers to the win. In the top of the third inning, the 22-year old right fielder stroked a run-scoring single. For the game, Clark went 1 for 5.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said DeKalb manager Shusaku Fukuda.
The last-place Cornhuskers improved to 52-86.
