The Long Island Ducks stopped the Phoenix Lights, 8-6, at Long Island Stadium. The Ducks got a big game from Rajeshkumar Sarin, who went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Long Island reliever Moritz Kenter was the winner. His record is now 10-3. The losing pitcher was José Castro. Ewan Pethick picked up the save for Long Island, his 7th of the year.
One important at-bat for Long Island came with two out in the bottom of the second inning. With a runner on 3rd, Sarin hit a 2-run home run, which contributed to the Ducks win.
"You never take a win for granted in this league," said Sarin.
With the win, the Ducks have a record of 66-67.
