Spartans Bang Out 8-5 Win Versus Cincinnati
|
The Sandy Springs Spartans downed the Cincinnati Snaps, 8-5, at The Coliseum. The Spartans were led by Lemn Onkwani, who captured player of the game honors. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Larry Greer got credit for the save for Sandy Springs. It was his 1st of the year. Sandy Springs is now 62-68, Cincinnati 56-74.
Onkwani had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the first inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Spartans went on to win.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Onkwani said. "We did a pretty good job of that today."
