Armada Top Toreros to Even Record

Phoenix Smith pitched a good game, but his team, the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, still dropped a 4-2 decision to the Quebec Armada at Lucky 7 Ballpark. Quebec reliever Anandam Ramanathan was the winner. His record is now 1-7. Phoenix Smith took the loss. The Armada saw their win-loss record go to 37-37. At the same time, the Toreros fell to 36-39.
Jeffrey Henderson, who is tied for 2nd in the TML in extra base hits with 36, aided the Quebec cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 4 with a double.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Henderson said.
