Ed Barnes made an impact in the 8-5 Carson City win over New York. Barnes was 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Hervé Muller picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 6-5. Leslie Arrington was tagged with the loss. Julien Caron recorded his 25th save for Carson City.

Barnes contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Carson City in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Barnes took a forkball from Leslie Arrington and stroked the home run to left. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Mustang to leap in front, 3-1.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Carson City manager William Rabbetts.

The Mustang are now 66-63, while the Ninjas fall to 70-59.
