Ninjas Knock Off Carson City at Cowboys Stadium

Ninjas second baseman Moos Kalkema put his stamp on his team's 6-3 win over the Carson City Mustang. Kalkema went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for New York in the contest. Nobuatsu Fukumoto converted his 33rd save in 38 tries. New York, at 70-57, occupies third place in the Ford Frick League Billy the Marlin Division.
New York took the lead in the top of the fifth when Kalkema hit a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season made the score 4-1, New York.
In postgame comments to the New York Daily News, Kalkema said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
