Cornhuskers Lose Again, 4-1
|
The DeKalb Cornhuskers went down to defeat to Kevin Everhart and his New York teammates. The final score was 4-1 in favor of the Ninjas. Nobuatsu Fukumoto picked up the save, his 32nd. DeKalb is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 7 in a row.
Hiroya Shimada was one of the major contributors to the win for New York. The light-hitting right fielder stroked a single to center in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the day, he went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Shusaku Fukuda.
