Lights Turn Back Spokane, 4-3

The Phoenix Lights eked out a 4-3 win versus the Spokane Bulldogs at UFO Field. Nobody did more than pitcher José Castro, who captured player of the game honors. Phoenix reliever Fahad Munir got the win, raising his record to 7-0. Leonilde Maio was tagged with the loss. Jian-cheng Wang got credit for the save for Phoenix. It was his 5th of the year.
Phoenix took control in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and a runner on 1st, Qu-bing Ci hit a 2-run home run to make it 4-2, Lights.
Castro called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
Phoenix is now 76-48, while Spokane is 65-59.
