Spokane catcher Freddy Rodríguez picked up 4 ribbies while helping his team beat back the New York Ninjas, 7-6. Spokane reliever Pedro Montoya picked up the win, upping his record to 4-4. Nobuatsu Fukumoto absorbed the loss. Spokane occupies 4th place in the Ford Frick League Billy the Marlin Division at 65-56.
The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Rodríguez. Facing Nobuatsu Fukumoto with runners on 1st and 2nd, the Spokane catcher had a 3-run home run. Game over, walk-off style!
