Rock River Rats starter Adam Pitkeathy turned in an exceptional performance against the Carson City Mustang at The Rat Hole, resulting in a Rock River win, 5-1. Ramelan Kathirithamby earned the save, his 3rd, for the Rats. Rock River has run its win streak to 5 in a row.
Rock River second baseman Ichizo Hamada helped the Rats to the win. In the bottom of the third inning, the 23-year old second baseman stroked a run-scoring triple. For the game, Hamada went 1 for 4 with a triple.
"We're all smiles after that win," Pitkeathy told the Rock River Bulletin.
