The Carson City Mustang and Topeka Predators put on a pitchers' duel at Cowboys Stadium.
The Topeka Predators wasted an impressive 6.2-inning effort from starter Michael Walsh, falling 2-1 to the Carson City Mustang at Cowboys Stadium. The wins continue to add up for Carson City, with the latest making it 9 in a row.
Matsudaira Shimada, who is tied for 9th in the FFL in extra base hits with 38, helped out the Carson City cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop went 1-3.
"We're playing like gangbusters right now," said Shimada.
