Canadians Jolt Titans with Late Rally
The Chicago Titans got a sterling performance from pitcher Alistair Lymer, but the Canadians still prevailed, 4-2. Lymer was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball. Vancouver reliever Bob Johnston picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Millard Dixon took the loss. With the win, Vancouver goes to 82-68, while the Titans fall to 72-78.

Runs were at a premium. So, Carlos Vásquez's at-bat with two out in the top of the eighth was crucial. The Vancouver catcher hit a 3-run home run, to give his team a 4-1 lead.

After the game, Vancouver manager John Harrison applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
