The Minneapolis Freeze cruised to a 14-4 win over the Billings Mustangs at The Ice Box today. Shimpei Fujita led the way, going 4-for-5 for Minneapolis. Eisuke Ota, who went 5.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 7 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 1-0. Xian Wang earned his 6th save in 7 chances.

Minneapolis catcher Yu Qiu helped the Freeze to the win. In the bottom of the third inning, the 25-year old catcher stroked a bases-clearing double. For the game, Qiu went 2 for 5 with a double. He drove in 3 runs.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling pretty confident after that win," said Fujita.

Minneapolis has now won 4 games in a row.
