Astoria beat Bronx on the strength of starter Ricardo Castros's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 5-3 win. Bronx now has a 5-game losing streak.

Also pitching for Astoria was catcher Luppe Missel, who hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, Missel was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
