Hatt Sensational for Death Stars

The skies opened up and the rain fell at Stanley Park.
In a well-pitched game between the Detroit Death Stars and the Vancouver Canadians, pitcher Sam Hatt was fantastic. The Detroit right-hander was named the player of the game in Detroit's 3-0 win. The Death Stars, at 82-64, have now won 4 straight.
Hatt, who dominated for Detroit, earned the victory to move to 12-9. He was in control the whole game, scattering 1 hit over 7.1 innings, while striking out 5. Vancouver batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Hatt.
