It seemed that Peoria shortstop Devayukta Pasapuleti could do no wrong as the Caterpillars KO'd the Fireballs, 19-0 today. Pasapuleti rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Fireballs hurlers were throwing.

"I think the Caterpillars were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Joplin fan after the game.

"I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Pasapuleti in the postgame press interview.

Devayukta Pasapuleti doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and walked in the 7th.

This year Pasapuleti has hit at a .282 clip with 31 RBIs, 3 home runs and 38 runs scored.
