A 4-RBI performance from the 27-year old first baseman Ajyapa Vijayarangan helped the Peoria Caterpillars beat the Astoria Argonauts, 5-1. The winner was Hideyori Ohayashi in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Sawao Yoshimura took the loss. Peoria bumps their record to 62-80 with the win.

The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Vijayarangan. Facing Kyuso Hara with the bases loaded, the Peoria first baseman had a grand slam home run. Game over, walk-off style!
