The rain at Bronx Ballpark did not keep Pasadena and Bronx from finishing their game.

Benefiting from the performance of Edmund McDonald, the Pasadena Bumblebees defeated the Bronx Bombers, 14-5. McDonald was 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Bumblebees. Ji Sheng got credit for the win, improving to 11-6. He allowed 5 runs on 11 hits in 7 innings.

Flexing his muscles for Pasadena was Tokuma Eida. The designated hitter had a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth for the Bumblebees. It put his team ahead, 4-2, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Eida went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3.

"We've got a great group of guys," Eida said, "and we're having fun right now."

With the win over Bronx, the Bumblebees improved to 84-55.
