|
Billings right-hander Amayas Nyamu shut out the Detroit Death Stars, 5-0. Sherwin Aberin, credited with the save, is now 12 for 15 in save opportunities. Billings goes to 83-58. The win puts them 6½ games up in their division.
Nyamu imposed his will on the Death Stars, scattering 3 hits over 7 innings while striking out 8. The right-hander upped his season record to 9-11.
"I liked his command," said Billings manager Keith Irwin. "Amayas was throwing strikes."
