Fireballs Jolt Canadians with Late Rally

Joplin and Vancouver took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
Aaron Dilnot pitched a good game, but his team, the Vancouver Canadians, still dropped a 4-1 decision to the Joplin Fireballs at The Firepit. Freek Janszen picked up the save for Joplin, his 6th of the year.
Joplin took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Bo Wie hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Fireballs fans to their feet.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Wie said.
With the win, Joplin goes to 68-70, while the Canadians fall to 76-63.
