Sasquatch Stumble, Lose to Marauders
|
Maple and Seattle got after it at Sick's Stadium.
Getting a good performance from designated hitter George Soucy, the Maple Marauders defeated the Seattle Sasquatch, 9-2. Soucy went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk for the Marauders. Maple reliever Tom Hanson was credited with the win, to go to 2-1. Dan Lewis took the loss for Seattle.
Dustin McMahon was 2-5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Maple. In a tie game with no one out in the top of the fourth, McMahon came through with a run-scoring triple. It put the Marauders in front, 1-0.
"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said McMahon.
Maple currently is in 4th place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division at 38-35.
