The Bronx Bombers bested the Antioch Coal Miners by a score of 7-5, with second baseman Zachary Palethorpe getting the main credit. On the day, Palethorpe was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Bombers. Juan Manuel earned the save, his 29th, for the Bombers.

In the top of the first inning, first baseman Mitsuzuka Kobayashi came through big-time for the Bombers. With Bronx leading 2-0, he belted a 2-run home run.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Kobayashi. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
