San Angelo withstood an impressive performance by Victoria shortstop Ed Weston to defeat the Vikings, 5-4, at The drakkar. Weston was 3 for 3 with a double and 2 singles. San Angelo starter Nobuharu Kishita was credited with the win after throwing 92 pitches over 5.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-3. Luis Domínguez picked up the save for San Angelo, his 28th of the year.

Manny Silva contributed to the San Angelo cause with a productive at-bat in the top of the second inning. With a runner on 3rd, he grounded out, driving in 1 run, propelling San Angelo to the win.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Victoria manager Charles Luce said following the tough loss.

With the win, San Angelo goes to 69-49, while the Vikings fall to 57-62.
