With right fielder Jack McDonald leading the charge, the Detroit Death Stars defeated the Bronx Bombers, 7-3, at Bronx Ballpark. McDonald, who is tied for 8th in the BCL with a .904 OPS, went 2-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Carl Pollard got credit for the win, improving to 6-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. Detroit, at 75-54, occupies second place in the Blake Camden League Youppi Division.

McDonald provided the big break for the Death Stars in the top of the third inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run triple, helping Detroit to get the win.

McDonald attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
