Detroit and Bronx got after it at Bronx Ballpark.

The Detroit Death Stars went home winners at Bronx Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Sam Hatt. Hatt silenced the Bronx Bombers, enabling Detroit to grab the 5-1 win. Detroit, now 74-53, holds second place in the Blake Camden League Youppi Division.

Hatt, who dominated for Detroit, earned the victory to move to 11-6. He was in control the whole game, scattering 6 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 5. Bronx batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"I'll be honest," said Hatt. "I was running on fumes at the end."
