Pérez Excels in Pasadena Win
|
The Pasadena Bumblebees got production from their entire lineup in an easy 15-3 win over the Joplin Fireballs. Player of the game honors went to center fielder Pedro Pérez. Pérez, who is rated as the 33rd best prospect by BNN, was 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Pasadena is now 76-51, 2˝ games up in the Blake Camden League Youppi Division.
Pérez contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped Pasadena get the win.
