Kehr Leads River Chiefs to 4-0 Win over Panthers
|
Willi Kehr was superb against Charleston. The left-hander, who leads the BOL in strikeouts with 194, had a change up that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 4-0 River Chiefs victory. Matsuyo Koda was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 3 of 6 save opportunities. Chippewa goes to 74-46. The win puts them 2½ games up in their division.
Kehr tossed 87 pitches over 6.1 innings to clinch the win for the River Chiefs. The left-hander allowed just 3 hits, while racking up 9 strikeouts in the game.
"Got a lot of swings and misses today," said Kehr.
