Winfield right-hander Armando Hernández pitched his team to victory over the Kingwood Knights at Stable Park. The final score was 5-3. In 6 innings, Hernández surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs. Alfonso Romero finished to wrap up his 3rd save.

The Warriors took the lead in the top of the fifth when Iván Pérez banged a two-out double. Winfield had been trailing 3-2, but Pérez hit a 1-1 fastball from Miguel Padilla for a bases-clearing double.

"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Pérez told the Winfield Times.
