Marauders Come Up Short at Seattle
|
In a tight battle between the Seattle Sasquatch and the Maple Marauders, pitcher António Navarro was in the zone. The Seattle right-hander was named the player of the game in Seattle's 2-1 win. Navarro got the win, improving to 4-8. He allowed 5 hits and walked 3 over 5.1 innings. Navarro allowed 1 earned run. Greg Ward, credited with the save, is now 11 for 13 in save opportunities.
One of the key players for the Sasquatch was second baseman Martin Waller, who drilled a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second inning. For the game, Waller was 1-3.
