Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Bumblebees

In a well-pitched game between the Pasadena Bumblebees and the Peoria Caterpillars, pitcher Hidetada Abe was fantastic. The Pasadena left-hander was named the player of the game in Pasadena's 2-1 win. The first-place Bumblebees have a one-game lead in their division.
The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Dennis Mayne came to bat in the bottom of the 11th. Facing Peoria pitcher Zhong Shi, he hit a full count sinker for a run-scoring double. It was a game-changer, putting Pasadena on top, 2-1.
"This joint was rocking," said Abe.
