Ninjas Fall Short at Wichita
Wichita beat New York at Howling Park, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Dennis Gregory, who earned player of the game honors. Wichita reliever José Santos picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Nobuatsu Fukumoto was saddled with the loss. The Ninjas have now dropped 5 straight.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Wichita center fielder Justin Seymour, facing Nobuatsu Fukumoto, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Wolverines the 5-4 win.

"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Seymour said.
