|
Minnesota catcher Masamune Tanaka made his presence felt in the 7-3 Berserkers triumph over the Kansas City Tornadoes. Tanaka was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs. Donkal Ubriani earned the win for Minnesota. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing no earned runs on 7 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 1-2. Kansas City has now lost 4 straight.
Roger Perry delivered a big hit for the Berserkers. The veteran second baseman belted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. The longball put Minnesota on top, 4-0. Overall, Perry was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Perry told the Minnesota Daily News. "You win just by scoring more runs."
