The 18-year-old third baseman put up a .365 average and a .454 on-base percentage, piling up 88 hits, 16 doubles, 4 triples, 18 home runs, 60 RBIs and 60 runs scored. Nobuharu Fujita of the Chunichi Dragons finished second in voting, while Hiroya Kuroki of the Tokyo Yakult Swallows finished third. |
