CL Announces Cy Young Award Sunday, May 30th, 2027 19-year-old Nobuharu Fujita of the Chunichi Dragons put together a good year in 2027 for such a young player. Fujita was named today as the winner of the Central League Cy Young Award. Fujita crafted an impressive 5-2 record and a 2.40 ERA. In 75 innings he allowed 56 hits, struck out 89, and walked 19. Noboru Miyamoto of the Tokyo Yakult Swallows finished second in voting, while Nobuhito Sakurai of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp finished third. |
