Swallows Win Tight Central Division Race Wednesday, May 12th, 2027 For the 3rd time in franchise history, the Tokyo Yakult Swallows are champions of the Central Division. But it was no easy task, as the Swallows battled until the season's final day in order to capture the title. "It makes it worth all the effort to pull it out this late," said second baseman Hiroya Kuroki. "It's hard to describe the feeling, but needless to say we're all feeling pretty good." The team is tops in the division with a 41-19 record and the club will be looking for the 1st NIPPON BASEBALL LEAGUE championship in franchise history. |
